When i was younger i used to need a lot of help to understand the homework that the school had left me on certain days so at home i tried to ask a lot of questions. So once i got home i asked my parents questions but there was a problem, my dad had a high school education but hadn't remembered much and my mom only had elementary education and they both were not up to date with what we were doing, and to make things complicated they were not fluent in english. That made it twice as difficult because every letter that they got i had to read it for them and translate. So i had to find a solution so i could get help with my homework and other projects. And she recommended me a program that they were having in the carlsbad library. It was a group of college students helping out kids from any age and grade K-12 . it was great, they were kind and after being there i started to understand what needed to be done and to understand. I also remember one of the tutors calling my teacher to ask what the next math test was going to be about so that she could help me study. That test i still remember getting a A- and i was so proud of myself and so glad that i took that. My parents were always glad that they took me there because it provided me with the help that i always needed and that they could trust with the tutors helping for me to succeed. They sometimes take my brother there when they are busy or when i cant help him so that he could get the help that he needs.
