My life story has to be like a lot of people but distinctly mine. I was born in oceanside, california, my parents are mexican and both came illegally before becoming a legal citizen. They believe in christianity but they still don't go to church. I have two brothers one born in the US and the other born in mexico, we are still very close siblings. We like the same things and they teach me things as so i do teach them also. All of this and more have given me my true identity. I am a person that cares a lot about family and heritage. I am close to the people that i love and care about and will take care of them always. I am a person who likes to talk face to face to a person. I am a Mexican American. Both nationalities are in me and will always be in me the courage and will of the mexican culture, and the bravery and nobleness of the american culture. Both these cultures have had a huge effect on my identity and how i act to things. Another factor that shaped my identity is soccer. Soccer has helped me grow as a person and with a group of people. It has given me a way to be connected with all the people that love the game. It gives a better understanding of my family since they are all soccer people. It helps me discover things that i hadn't known about myself and about others. It has taught me how to respect people and has taught me to not take things for granted, it has taught me compassion for others and more that i am thankful to the game that has shaped my life. Another thing that helps shape my identity is video games. Video games have taught me how to be creative. My creativity had been widened when i play video games and still growing, it gives me a more ways to be creative. It also helps me interact with others and boost my confidence in the video game world and in the real world with real people going to my identity that i am a very outgoing person. I talk well to others that i would have usually not because of my way of communicating towards other people. Another factor is the fact that i am mexican. Being mexican is a fact that i have a second home that i can always rely on that gives me a place to let go all of my emotions and a safe place to say. Being mexican also gives me a sense of pride because of all the people that come over illegally to the US for a better life just like my parents did. The fact is that i consider myself a mexican but was born her and picked up the qualities of an american over time . so in conclusion i am a mexican american that cares a lot about family, that loves to talk to others, that is respectful and careful about everything and that is proud of what he can bring to the community.
